All our products come with Warranty of 12/24/60 months depending on the Manufacturers warranty. You are entitled to a replacement of the product for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage of products that do not reflect the description. We don’t provide refunds as products can be repaired or replaced with new or if not available from our suppliers replaced with products or equal value of the faulty products.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Where a failure does not amount to a major failure Melbourne Security is entitled to choose between providing you with a repair, replacement. To obtain compensation, you would need to provide documentary evidence of the loss or damage suffered, and documentary evidence that such loss or damage was a reasonably foreseeable consequence of a failure by Melbourne Security to comply with a consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law. Such evidence may include photographs, statutory declarations, receipts or reports depending on the loss or damage.
In addition to all rights and remedies to which you may be entitled under the Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Commonwealth) and any other relevant legislation, the manufacturer warrants this product to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 12/24/60 months from the date of purchase.
In order to claim under this warranty you will need to notify Melbourne Security by email or letter along with proof of purchase . We will then, at our option, either repair or replace the product, or refund your money .
Melbourne Security’s manufacturer’s warranty is subject to us being satisfied that a defect was caused by defective workmanship or materials, and was not caused by or substantially contributed to by other factors, or circumstances beyond our control, including (but not limited to) defective installation, maintenance or repair, alteration or modification of the product in a manner not recommended by the manufacturers or any neglect, misuse or excessive use.
Melbourne Security deserves the right to take up to 4 weeks ( Depending on our work load) to attend the site where the faulty equipment is installed in order to assess the claimed damage/defect product/s from the date that the fault/s are reported to Melbourne Security by Client via email. Please note that Melbourne Security deserves the right to attend and rectify fault/s within the 4 week period, if Client decides to fix problems via a third party before the expiration of the 4 week period Melbourne Security will not cover any costs associated with repairs or equipment supplied and installed by Melbourne Security.
Once the fault has been diagnosed by our Technician on site we will repair the faulty equipment on site if it can be easily repaired, taken back to our workshop and repair it within 2-5 working days providing we can get the necessary part if required to complete repair or send the product to the manufacturer for repair or replacement which can take up to 2 weeks (usually takes 4-8 working days).
